The Bible prophecy seminar in Minnesota today was enjoyable! I gave sober, substantive presentations on key issues surrounding the Lord’s second coming. The attendees received it well and told me during and after the seminar that it was clear and persuasive. I also heard the not uncommon lament from many that this vital truth is not being taught in their churches. That is heart-breaking because this is an urgent message that the people of God NEED to hear. I think that a lot of believers have the mindset that because they simply affirm the fact that Jesus is coming back they do not need to study this doctrine. This could not be further from the truth and, sadly, they will have a rude awakening if these things come to pass in our generation. As Jesus warns, “Remember I have told you ahead of time” —Matt 24:25.
It was an encouraging—and exhausting!—day. The fellowship gives me “fuel” to press on with this message. Difficult times are coming (indeed for many persecuted Christians in other parts of the world it is difficult already).
The church in America needs to wake up from its slothfulness and sins of distractions, in order to draw near to God and instill a vigilance for Jesus who is coming quickly!
