All prewrath is teaching is that there will be an unprecedented persecution of Christians just before Jesus returns.
And yet, this message is so offensive to many pretribs that they feel compelled to write books against prewrath, calling it heresy, “Satanic,” and even likening our persecution theology to wife beating! Of course there are more sober pretribbers who are not caustic as such, but a surprisingly number of pretribs are.
J. D. Farag has even said that he would “literally” lose his mind if pretrib was wrong and he was found to be in the Antichrist’s great tribulation. Just stop for a moment to think about that. He should be more concerned with losing his soul (see Rev 14:9–12).
Now contrast Farag’s feeble faith with the bold faith of Iranian women:
“We know that if they get us, the first thing they will do to us as a woman is rape us and then they will beat us and ultimately they will kill us,” one believer said. “This is the decision we have made that we want to offer our bodies as sacrifices. Because I have this thought when I wake up, that when I leave, that door I might not come back.”
WOW! Now that is FAITH in the face of real persecution, the same type of persecution that the Antichrist will subject the Church to during his great tribulation.
Perhaps pretrib teachers who are teaching escapist theology and setting up the flock to fail should rethink their theology.
