To follow up with an additional point to my response to Prophecy Watchers promoting unbiblical teaching (here).
Steve Cioccolanti claims the Bible teaches that the number eleven is “chaos.” Of course, he just pulls this out from—not the Bible—but from thin air, arbitrarily stating:
“From the Bible, 11 is the number of chaos. It’s 12 minus 1. Twelve is order. You take 1 away from order, you have disorder and chaos.”
He does not actually explain where the Bible teaches these meanings of numbers. He makes it up. Further, if he sees chaos in his life all the time, then as a Christian perhaps he should try to find peace through Jesus Christ.
The false prophecy teachers will proliferate as we move closer to the Lord’s coming. Discern and mark them out.
Incidentally, on a statistical level, the number ‘1’ may likely be the most frequent number in the numerical system, and thus makes sense that it would be seen frequently together with other instances of ‘1’ (e.g. ’11’ ‘111’ ‘1111’).
