Many pop, pretrib, prophecy teachers, for example, Hebrew Roots Mark Biltz, always talk about how Israel is the center of Bible prophecy (which I agree). “Look to Israel” is the slogan.
But when it is convenient for them (to stay relevant as proclaimed “prophecy teachers”) they will try to make events in America fulfill Bible prophecy.
The recent American solar eclipse and its hurricanes is a good example of this. Discredited pretrib date-setter Mark Biltz has recently claimed that the sign to the day of the Lord in Luke 21:25 refers to the recent American natural disasters: “There will be signs in sun and moon and stars, and on the earth dismay among nations, in perplexity at the roaring of the sea and the waves” (Luke 21:25).
Sort of like when politicians stick their wet finger in the air to see which way the wind is blowing, no pun intended.
