The upcoming Rocky Mountain International Prophecy Conference sponsored by Gary Stearman and Thomas Horn’s The Prophecy Watchers is basically a sci-fi false, pretrib, prophecy conference.
Satan will tickle their ears with topics of discussion such as UFO encounters, the Real Gilgal with Drone Footage, Nephilim Hybrids, The Babylon Code, Terminators, Prophecies in the Ancient Book of Enoch. And that is just for starters.
To be sure there are a few sessions on Israel, such as given by Joel Richardson. But the sensational topics that will be on display at this so-called Bible prophecy conference is simply grieving.
The Bible is not good enough. It has lost it authority and holy appeal. The Satanic appeal is simply a distraction from God’s Word.
Don’t take my word for it, click on this link and scroll down to read the session topics that will be given at this conference.
If you do not grieve after reading that list of session topics, I have to question whether you really are concerned about the body of Christ. The other rough half of the body of Christ could care less about studying biblical prophecy. Pick your poison.
It is a sad state of affairs in American Christianity. The deception is so ironic.
I don’t think anyone of us realizes the scope of deception in the American church. And I don’t think anyone realizes how quickly the vast amount of these teachers and attendees at this prophecy conference will apostatize once the Antichrist appears—since they are mostly pretrib compounded by being inculcated by sensational pseudo-biblical topics that only distract from actual biblical teaching on the correct view of what will happen at the second coming of Christ.
It will sadly not get any better. These kinds of conferences will exist—even become more popular—right up to the Antichrist, and then it will be too late. But that is part and parcel of Satan’s plan: keep them deceived and distracted and ripe for the Desolator.
I am more convinced than ever that pretribulationism may be the greatest deception of Satan in American churches and abroad.
It is easy to get frustrated and demoralized to see the church being deceived and the Lord’s name abused for what is billed as a “Christian” conference. But I am reminded of Paul’s comforting words of peace and James warning to teachers of God’s Holy Word.
“And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus. Finally, brothers, whatever is true, whatever is honorable, whatever is just, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is commendable, if there is any excellence, if there is anything worthy of praise, think about these things. What you have learned and received and heard and seen in me—practice these things, and the God of peace will be with you.” (Phil 4:7–9 ESV)
“Not many of you should become teachers, my fellow believers, because you know that we who teach will be judged more strictly.” (James 3:1).
