I replied to a pretrib objection to the prewrath position that says 1 Thess.5:3 contradicts prewrath: “While people are saying, “There is peace and security,” then sudden destruction will come upon them as labor pains come upon a pregnant woman, and they will not escape.” (1 Thess 5:3).
This objection was easily answered as I explained the immediate context of the slogan “peace and security,” showing that it is unbelievers, not believers, who will be saying peace and safety during the great tribulation just before the day of the Lord’s wrath. It is a false security that will be short-lived. It makes sense that they will be saying peace and security during the great tribulation since they will see the Antichrist as the savior of the world ushering in peace and safety.
