I have been responding to John Accomando’s statements on his posttribulationism, hoping that he would engage and we can have a God-honoring, beneficial discussion. He has not responded to anything, as far as I know, I have written.
Sadly, I received this note that Accomando passed on to me from someone:
Jeffrey,
Feel free to invite Kirchner to my group “Three views on the rapture”, and I’ll address any of his points. It seems very odd to me that he’s lurking in the shadows on FB, quoting me, and posting it on his blog. I think he needs to be a man, and address me personally.
John
A few comments:
i. He tortured my last name, not having the respect to spell it correctly.
ii. He says, “It seems very odd to me that he’s lurking in the shadows on FB, quoting me, and posting it on his blog.” Smoke and mirrors from Accomando. The Facebook group is a public forum and I decided to respond on my blog for the reason that my response will reach a larger audience and thus for my readers benefit. I would provide a link to the facebook group page, but out of respect I don’t want people going there to respond to him, since the group is not a debate format, it is prewrath. Apparently, they gave Accomando an ad hoc opportunity to share his views.
iii. Accomando is free to open up his own blog and respond to my comments. I have no problem with that, but oddly he wants to critique prewrath publicly but does not like it when people critique his posttrib publicly.
iv. He says that I “need to be a man.” Unfortunately, Accomando has stooped to a personal attack, not that I am taking it personally. What is ironic is that out of respect and taking the time to respond to him I have interacted with his statements. But he has failed to respond to any of mine. So who is not stepping up to the plate?
v. He says that I need to address him “personally.” So he can make public statements about prewrath, but if I respond, I have to address him personally? Why the double standard?
vi. I was going to respond more to his posttrib statements that he made on the public facebook forum, but I am not interested anymore. I find his interaction lacking any willingness to engage biblically for the benefit of God’s people.
So, I am moving on…
